The First Grade focuses on the development of love and devotion to the Armenian Church. This evolves through the eight units of study and especially through the students' participation in the life of the Church which is an intrinsic part of the year's study.  One of the major goals of the year is involving parents in the learning process. This is accomplished through home assignments designed to bring parents and children together. Class activities encourage students to think about their place in the Armenian Church and accept it as their "second home.”

Theme: God blesses us; the Armenian Church loves and cares for us and is our second home.

Grade Two
