2005 Annual Parish Assembly Minutes
Opening Prayer
The meeting was called to order at 12:45 pm. by Ara Boghigian. He was the Chairman of the Day at the 2004 Annual Parish Assembly. The Very Rev. Fr. Simeon Odabashian offered the opening prayer and short bible reading.
Roll Call/Establish Quorum
A quorum was established. 104 dues-paid members were checked in at that time.
Election of Chairperson and Secretary of the Day
Ara Boghigian asked the nominating committee to take the podium to conduct the elections for the election of chairman and secretary of the day.
Gary Nahabedian took over at the podium and immediately opened up the floor to take any nominations from the floor to elect the chairman of the day. At the present time, there was only one previous nomination, Michele Kazarian.
Raffi Najarian nominated Ara Boghigian and Ara accepted the nomination.
John Kazarian made the motion to close nominations for chairman of the day and Steven Megrdichian seconded the motion.
Gary Nahabedian then noted that although there were two candidates for secretary of the day, he opened the floor for nominations.
Ara Boghigian made the motion to close nominations for secretary of the day and Vernon Samoorian seconded the nomination.
The election ballot was as follows:

A short recess was taken for the ballots to be printed.
An immediate election was conducted by ballot with results as follows:
Chairperson: Michele Kazarian
Secretary: Rena Megrdichian
The chairperson elect and secretary of the day took their respective positions.
Raffi Najarian asked to be recognized. He stated that it has taken this parish 90 years to have a female chairperson of the day, and he congratulated Michele on this occurrence.
