Approval of the Agenda
A motion was made to approve the agenda as presented the day of the meeting by Joyce Avedisian and seconded by Bertha Murgurdichian; the motion passed.
Approval of 2004 Parish Assembly Minutes
A motion was made to approve the minutes of the previous assembly. Joyce Avedisian made the motion and it was seconded by Zita Butler.
Balloting for Church Officers
At this time Gary Nahabedian, approached the lectern to conduct the election process.
Election of Parish Council (2 year term – elect 5)
The following is a list of the nominations to date:
- Melanie Krikorian
- Paul Parnagian
- Linda Minassian
- Gary Taraian
- Dorothy Martiesian
- Margie Martiesian
- Hagop Ghajanian
The following nominations were then received from the floor:
- Stephanie Masoian (nominated by Zita Butler)
- Jason Martiesian (nominated by Jack Chakoian)
- Vernon Samoorian (nominated by Martin Mahdesyan)
A motion was made by Vernon Samoorian to close the nominations for Parish Council and seconded by Joyce Avedisian.
Election of Nominating Committee (1 year term - Elect 3)
The following is a list of the nominations:
- Gary Nahabedian
- Terry Martiesian
- Peter Taraian
- David Vartian
- Debbie Onanian
- Chris Der Vartanian
- Hosanna Derderian
A motion was made to close nominations by Raffi Najarian and the motion was seconded by Armen Janigian.
Election of Auditing Committee (3 year term - Elect 1)
The following is a list of the nominations:
- Margaret Chevian
- Ed Onanian
A motion was made to close nominations by Vernon Samoorian and seconded by Ara Boghigian. Nominations were officially closed.
At this time, Michele Kazarian took the podium and invited The Very Rev. Fr. Simeon Odabashian to approach the podium.
