Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church

Sports/Scholarship Committee

It is the objective of the scholarship committee to see that all deserving applicants will receive a scholarship grant. Therefore, the Committee offers its scholarship program to communicants of both Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church and Armenian Euphrates Evangelical Church in addition to Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church.

Scholarship eligibility requires that applicants must be students who are dues paying members in good standing and eligible to vote or whose parents are in good standing and eligible to vote at the Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church of Providence, Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian Euphrates Evangelical Church. In addition, all eligible members of a family unit may apply, but only one (1) scholarship will be granted each year.

The Sports/Scholarship Committee is most fortunate and grateful to the judges who each year take time out from a very busy schedule to review the applications and make the grant selections. The Selection Committee has prepared a point system and the judges, to the best of their ability, choose those recipients whom they believe to be the most deserving.  Please remember the scholarship grants are not based on recognition in sports but are primarily based on academic achievement.
