With the help and support of everyone who considers Sts. Sahag and Mesrob their spiritual home, we will raise the funds necessary to restore and improve our sanctuary.

In the coming weeks, members of the committee will meet to develop ideas and a plan with which to accomplish our goal. Upon approval from the pastor and parish council, we will begin to implement our plans and look forward to meeting with our parishioners. We welcome and value the support of all our parishioners.

We are well underway already! By direction of Jasper DerAnanian, we are delighted to announce a dramatic beginning to the campaign with a $100,000+ gift - this gracious bequest made by his late brother, George DerAnanian. God bless them and their generosity! Let theirs be an example to us all.

Now that August is here, temperatures are rising and so are our donations! As of August 8, we have received just shy of $50,000 in gifts and pledges. So to beat the heat, it’s all aboard as we set sail on the HYE SEAS!! We will be casting our nets and lines far and wide in order to land some really big fish. Show us your “mussels” and join the ranks of our leadership-giving captains with your gifts and pledges of $1,000 or more. Already we have 21 leadership donors at the helm who are helping us chart the course for a successful campaign. Please don’t flounder and make your commitment today, as we need all hands on deck to ensure meeting our goal of $325,000. That’s a lot of “clams”! So...take the bait and help us lure and retrieve more donors who will follow your example. Get your family and friends on the hook to give generously and share in the beautiful restoration.

All gifts made by November 30, 2008, will be matched dollar-for-dollar via a Matching Gift Program established in memory of George and Mary Kazarian by their sons, Robert, Kenneth, and Edward. The loving and generous example they have set in honor of their parents and our Church is truly “admiral-able”. With all our parishioners’ support, we will have smooth sailing beyond our goal and will each be able to exclaim “Holy Mackerel — we did it”. In order for this Sanctuary Renovation Campaign to “sea reel” success, we must have everyone’s participation.
